Our theme is "It's All Greek to Me." The Festival will be held on the church grounds at 52455 N. Ironwood Road in South Bend, two blocks north of Cleveland Road

The Annual Grecian Festival is a chance for you, your family and friends to enjoy the food, music and atmosphere of Greece right here in South Bend. In keeping with that objective as you walk the building and areas of the Festival you will come across posters with descriptions, anecdotes and other interesting facts about life in Greece. We also do our best to bring something new every year.

Follow Presbytera Elaine through over 2000 years of Orthodox history on her Church tours. She will discuss the Orthodox Church and its traditions, religious items and their uses, among other aspects of the Church. There will, of course, be a question and answer session following the tour. Please note: if you are planning on attending the tour you need to be in proper attire (no shorts or tank tops) and there is no food allowed in the Church. We thank you for respecting our Church. Tour times will be posted in several locations around the festival.

The large wall (to your left) of the inside dining area will highlight artwork by our parishioners, Natasha Iuston, Janice Lampos and Anthoula Kanalos. The menu will include the same delicious and authentic tastes of past festivals. Many St. Andrew's chefs are or were Michiana restaurateurs and were brought up in the business of pleasing the palates of their guests. This year we have the famous Greek Pastitio. This is a delicious layered food consisting of long macaroni and meat with a Bechamel sauce topping. Succulent Roast leg of lamb, flavorful Grecian style chicken, green beans, salad with feta cheese, rice, and mouth watering Gyros, Spinach or Cheese pies. Dine-in or carry-out. To finish your meal, don't forget to pick up an enticing Baklava or delectable Loukoumathes (Honey puffs). Beverages available will be Coke products, Greek coffee, beer & wine, Domestic beer and bottled water. Seating is available inside and outside.

We have several forms of entertainment this year, a live Greek band, Ormi Orchestra, Friday and Saturday evenings, the Dance Troupe performances inside and outside, an expanded children's area and NEW THIS YEAR: The Elwood Splinters Blues Band performing Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

For the children there will airbrush tattoos and carnival games. We will also have inflatable rides, face painting, hot dogs and ice cream.

Entertainment Times:

  • The live Greek band, Ormi Orchestra, will perform Friday and Saturday night from 6-10 PM
  • The Elwood Splinters Blues Band will perform Friday from 5-6 PM & 10-11 PM; Saturday 4-5 PM & 10-11 PM; and Sunday 2-3 PM & 4-5 PM.
  • The Hellenic Dance Troupe performances are Friday at 6:30 PM (inside) & 8 PM (outside6:30 PM (inside) & 8 PM (outside); and Sunday 1 PM inside.

Outdoor seating under the blue and white tents (Greece's national colors) is available for those who wish to enjoy the weather. It's a wonderful place to enjoy your spanakopita, pastitio tyropita, chicken, souvlaki or roast leg of lamb with trimmings in Grecian flair. There will also be seating available inside the Good Samaritan Cultural Center.

AGAIN THIS YEAR the ladies from Saint John Chrysostomos Monastery will be here. They have a beautiful selection of hand-painted icons, books and other religious items. We also have a Greek vendor this year who will have many Greek items, t-shirts, artwork and gift items. So don't forget to stop by.

Let's not forget the tantalizing Greek Pastry Shop. They have all your favorites baklava, melomakarona, loukoumades and kouroumbiedes just to name a few mouth-watering treats.

There will be 50/50 tickets available Friday and Saturday with the drawings held at 11pm each night. Winner need not be present.

Carry out will be available during festival hours.
